Ingwenyama Cup

Ingwenyama Cup is sponsored by the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund(MVA) to a sponsorship amount of E 3 225 000.00. This Cup competition was introduced with a unique format which collaborated both football and cultural competitions. A unique blend of sports and culture, Ingwenyama Cup for 2016/17 concluded with Mbabane Swallows FC crowned as Champions defeating Young Baffaloes FC in a closely contested final.

The second edition of this cup saw a massive 104 teams participating; being 12 teams of from the premier league; 12 teams from 1st division and all the 80 teams from the regional super league in the country. This therefore has became the biggest draw card competitions where a massive 8 rounds were played; the longest for any knockout tournaments to be hosted in the land.

The Premier league and first division teams are scheduled to enter the competition at the 4th edition round stages; with the initial rounds taking place at the regional Super league level. This has ingredients for a very exciting season ahead with various clubs at the lower divisions looking for honors. This Greatly enhance football developments and competitions as a result of clubs even at the promotional levels seeking to gain promotion to participate in this competition.
