BUFFS SIX POINTS CLEAR AT THE TOP OF MTN LOG

MBABANE – After nearest challengers, Mbabane Swallows played to a 1-all draw with Denver Sundowns at Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday, Young Buffaloes now enjoy a six-point lead at the summit of the MTN log standings.

The army side beat Manzini Sea Birds 1-0 on Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium courtesy of a 21st minute goal by mercurial midfielder Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze, his 17th goal of the season. ‘Amathole Ezinyathi’ have now amassed 38 points, scored a massive 40 goals while conceding only 8 goals, which leaves them enjoying a six point lead with 11 games remaining.

The First round champions are now hot favourites to win the league championships for the first time since they won it in the 2009-2010 season under the guidance of Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini.
